Techie burdened with debts indulges in chain snatching

Selaiyur Police arrested a 28-year-old man who is a digital graphic artist for snatching a gold chain from a woman. On her complaint, a special team of police led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Selaiyur scrutinised all CCTV footage and arrested the accused who has been identified as S. Shanmuga Anandan, 32, of Ganapathy puram, Chromepet on Saturday. Investigation revealed accused Shanmuga Anandan was a B.Sc., degree holder working for a private digital graphic company at Vadapalani earning around Rs.32,000 per month. Police also said he watched a lot of movies and YouTube videos before starting snatching.
