England's Liam Livingstone not ready to give up on ODI team return
England all-rounder Liam Livingstone isn't ready to give up on making it to the ODI team once again after impressing in the first T20I against Australia on September 11, Wednesday. “I’ve probably had two years of batting a bit lower down – you don’t always get the opportunity,” said Livingstone, who featured at six and seven at the T20 World Cup in June. “I guess winning games of T20 cricket for England may enhance my chances of getting back into the one-day team.” Not going to sit and cry about ODI snub Livingstone last played an ODI in December 2023 and hasn't been picked for the 50-over series against Australia. I was always rushing back to play whatever the next tournament was because I wanted to play cricket – I didn’t want to be out of cricket for too long.
