Delhi Government identifies 268 children orphaned due Covid-19
India TodayThe Delhi Government's Women and Child Development Department has identified 268 children who have been orphaned during the coronavirus pandemic, an official said on Sunday. There are nearly 5,500 children who have lost either of their parents ever since the virus hit the national capital, WCD director Rashmi Singh told PTI. Number of children orphaned due to Covid-19 “The 268 children who have been identified include those who lost their parents to other ailments apart from coronavirus. CM Arvind Kejriwal announces aid to children who got orphaned due to Covid Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced that those children who have lost both or either of the parents to Covid-19 will be given financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month till the time they attain the age of 25.
