Indian Army Chief concludes 5-day visit to Nepal, strengthening bilateral ties

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff, concluded a successful five-day visit to Nepal on Sunday, underscoring the deep historical and strategic ties between the Indian and Nepali Armies. During his trip, General Dwivedi met Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Defence Minister Manbir Rai, along with top military leaders, including General Ashok Raj Sigdel, COAS of the Nepali Army. KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF VISIT Tribute at Bir Smarak: The COAS laid a wreath at Bir Smarak, honouring Nepal’s Bravehearts, followed by a Guard of Honour at Nepali Army Headquarters.
