Indian Army Chief concludes 5-day visit to Nepal, strengthening bilateral ties

During his trip, General Dwivedi met Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Defence Minister Manbir Rai, along with top military leaders, including General Ashok Raj Sigdel, COAS of the Nepali Army. KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF VISIT Tribute at Bir Smarak: The COAS laid a wreath at Bir Smarak, honouring Nepal’s Bravehearts, followed by a Guard of Honour at Nepali Army Headquarters. Honorary General Rank: Nepal’s President conferred General Dwivedi with the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army, symbolising the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
