Chris Evans almost turned down Captain America and abandoned acting due to anxiety

Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in Marvel superhero films, said that he didn't want to take the role initially because he was dealing with severe anxiety at that time and considered abandoning acting. The actor was talking on The Hollywood Reported podcast - Awards Chatter, where he revealed that panic attacks almost led him to repeatedly turn down Marvel before reconsidering taking up the role. Talking about his experience with anxiety and how he tackled it, Chris Evans said, "All of a sudden your hobby becomes your job.That was back when the superhero thing was just taking off.
