Read our privacy policy Police are searching for two men who killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run in Coventry with a car they had stolen at knife-point minutes before. The 38-year-old victim had been walking along a pavement in the suburb of Earlsdon, when he was hit by a black Chevrolet SUV in the early hours of the morning, West Midlands Police said. The force’s Detective Sergeant Alan Hands said: "This is a deeply tragic set of circumstances where the theft of a car has led to the death of an innocent man who was simply making his way home.
