'Netflix of Sport' Dazn mulls multibillion-pound listing

The Telegraph

Dazn, the sports streaming app lavishly funded by the billionaire Sir Leonard Blavatnik, is targeting a stock market debut within months to help fund further expansion. The British company, which has spent billions of pounds of Sir Leonard’s fortune buying up football rights around the world, aims to list in autumn if market conditions allow, according to City sources. The company lays claim to be the largest sports streaming platform in the world and holds the TV rights to the English Premier League across a number of overseas territories. It has been viewed as the keenest bidder for the business as BT attempts to reduce its exposure to the volatile sports rights market and focus its investments on its broadband and mobile phone businesses.
