Diljit Dosanjh vows not to perform in India until infrastructure improves
Deccan ChronicleSinger-actor Diljit Dosanjh has announced that he will not hold concerts in India until live concert infrastructure is improved. In a video circulating on social media, Diljit said in Punjabi, “Here, we don’t have the infrastructure for live shows. Till this happens, I won’t do shows in India, that’s for sure.” Diljit’s Chandigarh show was dedicated to India’s new International Chess Federation World Champion, Gukesh Dommaraju. In a lighter moment, he referenced Allu Arjun’s Pushpa dialogue, humorously saying, “Saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega.” Ahead of the performance, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights issued an advisory urging Diljit not to perform songs promoting alcohol or violence, such as Patiala Peg and 5 Tara.
