Remote forest home destroyed by fire in Limburg

A detached home in a remote forested area near Heijen and Afferden, Limburg, was completely destroyed by a fire on Friday night. Initial statements from emergency responders mentioned a potential explosion, but police later clarified there was no evidence to support this. "There is essentially nothing left of the home, just one wall still standing," said a spokesperson for the regional safety authority. The home’s resident was located elsewhere at the time of the fire, according to police.
