Poet Balachandran Chullikkad appeals to exclude his poems from syllabus

Poet Balachandran Chullikkad reiterated his plea to exclude his poems from the school and college syllabus to prevent them from being imposed on students who were disinterested in reading them. It was the answers reportedly written by Plus One students to a question based on his widely read poem Sandarshanam that triggered the latest fervent plea from the poet. “I had earlier pleaded with the authorities to exclude my poems from the syllabus and not to be misused for academic purposes. Mr. Chullikkad said he would once again write to the authorities to exclude his poems from the syllabus.
