Taj Banjara sealed for defaulting on Property Tax, reopened after hospitality behemoth makes part payment

One of the top rung hotels in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad was sealed on Thursday morning for defaulting on Property Tax payment. 12, Banjara Hills, was locked up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s officials for non-payment of tax dues for the past two years. Officials from Jubilee Hills Circle reportedly visited the hotel and locked all the three gates, after pasting notices on the doors. Notices were sent during the past two months seeking clearance of dues, but to no avail, forcing the authorities to take punitive action, they said.
