Even as the country is grappling with the menace of coronavirus, thousands of devotees in Kerala brazenly violated the guidelines mandated by the state government to avoid large gatherings and participated in the traditional procession ‘Arattu’ held at Malayinkeezhu Sree Krishna Swami Temple in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. However, paying no heed to the Prime Minister of the country and in flagrant disregard of the state government’s enforced strictures, a large number of devotees assembled at the Sree Krishna Swami Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, posing a severe threat of community transmission of the novel coronavirus in the state which has so far reported about 37 cases.
