Handloom Weavers in Tiruchi Hope for Profitable Deepavali Season

Handloom weavers in Tiruchi district are expecting a boost in profits this year with Deepavali sales. The best-selling products are Woraiyur and Manamedu cotton saris, with weavers operating singly or in teams producing saris priced upwards of ₹1,000 apiece. The official said the prolonged hot weather this year had also increased the demand for cotton saris.
