3 killed after Google Maps leads their car to unfinished flyover in UP

India Today

Three people died after their Google Maps wrongly led their car to an under-construction bridge, with the vehicle plunging into a river in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district, police said. The men were relying on Google Maps to reach the venue when their GPS led them to the unfinished flyover. The car went to the incomplete bridge and fell into a river from there," police said. The family members of the victims blamed the concerned officials for the incident and questioned why the bridge was unfinished, and no barricades were installed at one end of the structure.
