National Science Day celebrated in various institutions

The National Science Day celebrations were held in various institutes across the city on Friday. Every year, the National Science Day is celebrated across India on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by physicist Sir C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928, for which he received the Nobel prize. Members from all four groups of the Institute, as well as the facilities, including the library, mechanical engineering services, and electronics engineering group, were seen enthusiastically demonstrating experiments and interacting with the visitors,” RRI said. They demonstrated electrical engineering techniques that enable cutting edge astrophysics research and built the capacity of young students towards electronics through a brief tutorial on how students can build their own computer to detect radio signals,” RRI said. On the occasion, Bangalore Association for Science Education President A.S. Kiran Kumar administered the National Science Day oath.
