Congress accuses KCR of 'copying' manifesto for Telangana Assembly polls
India TodayTelangana Congress President Revanth Reddy on Sunday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's party Bharat Rashtra Samithi of "copying" the Congress's manifesto for the upcoming state Assembly elections. Similarly, he said that the Congress promised Rs 2,500 for women and a subsidised rate of Rs 500 for gas cylinders, and KCR changed the amounts to Rs 3,000 and Rs 400 respectively. Even the promise of Rs 15,000 for farmers by Congress was topped by KCR's pledge of Rs 16,000, Congress leader Revanth Reddy added. BRS MANIFESTO The BRS' manifesto, which was released on Sunday, includes a range of promises such as increasing the social security pension amounts, providing financial assistance to farmers under the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme, and offering LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 400 each.
