This is due to the US president’s close connection with UFC President Dana White Newly installed FBI Director Kash Patel has announced plans to restructure the top law enforcement agency in the US. A UFC official said the UFC is “not aware of any information regarding UFC and FBI training.” Two people briefed on the matter said current FBI agents described the idea as “surreal” and “wacky.” ABC News contributor Rich Frankel, who spent more than two decades with the FBI as special agent, said the agency may benefit from increasing its physical fitness standards and that the proposal may not be as unusual as it sounds. During the speech, the American President recalled how he “helped out a little bit” years earlier when no one else was willing to host UFC fights, claiming that UFC is now “one of the most successful sports enterprises anywhere at any time" and had described the UFC as “the roughest sport I’ve ever seen,” featuring fighters who “really go at it.” Days after winning the November election, Trump sat in the front row between White and Elon Musk at a highly publicised UFC bout at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
