'Worried': GOP sweating that Dems could flip deep red House seat in upcoming election

A special election in Florida's sixth congressional district is set to take place in just over a week and Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman brings word that Republicans aren't as confident about it as they should be. However, Sherman brings word that "Republicans on the Hill and in are getting a bit worried about this seat" even though its voting history suggests it should be a cakewalk. The reason for this, Sherman suggests, is that Democratic candidate Josh Weil has vastly outraised Trump-endorsed Republican rival Randy Fine. The odds are still overwhelming that Fine will win the race, although Democratic operatives will be sure to pay close attention to the final margin, which could portend similar swings back toward Democrats in other upcoming special elections.
