Aanand L Rai defends Manmarziyan scenes deletion: Exclusion of smoking bit doesn't compromise with genre

Four scenes from Manmarziyan were cut out from the film, regarding which Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee had expressed strong displeasure Mumbai: Director-producer Aanand L Rai on 20 September defended the decision to cut three smoking-related scenes from the film Manmarziyaan, saying their non-inclusion does not “compromise” with its genre. Earlier, Eros implied that the decision to cut the scenes were taken by the creative producer of the film, Colour Yellow Productions which is run by Rai.
