Embattled South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has been banned from leaving the country amid continued calls for his ouster. Yoon is facing increasing pressure to resign following his short-lived declaration of martial law and narrowly escaped impeachment on Saturday. A senior National Police Agency officer also told local reporters on Monday that they could also detain Yoon if conditions were met. Yoon sent heavily armed soldiers into the streets of Seoul earlier this week — declaring martial law for the first time since 1980.
