Udhayanidhi warns of another language war if BJP govt. imposes Hindi on T.N.

DMK youth wing leader and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Tuesday said that Tamil Nadu would not hesitate to launch another “language war” if the “fascist BJP government” refused to listen to the sentiments of Tamils. If Hindi is imposed on us, not hundred, but thousands of youth are ready to sacrifice their lives to protect Tamil and our rights,” he said during a demonstration organised by the DMK-led alliance against the BJP government’s refusal to allot funds to the State, particularly for the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. “If we accept Hindi, we will lose Tamil.,” he said, adding that the DMK government was not a slave that would sign on “dotted lines” like the previous AIADMK regime to get funds from the BJP. Thirumavalavan said it was strange that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were promoting Sanskrit “on behalf of Brahmins”, despite Gujarati being their mother tongue.
