QB Tyler Van Dyke, dealing with injuries, ruled out for Miami against Clemson

Associated Press

The AP Top 25 college football poll is back every week throughout the season! MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke was held out Saturday against Clemson because of injuries, and was on the sideline in warmups instead of a uniform. Van Dyke revealed after last week’s Atlantic Coast Conference loss to North Carolina that he has been dealing with an injury to his right hand, which is his throwing hand. Emory Williams started in Van Dyke’s place for Miami, which came into the game on a two-game losing streak and fell out of the AP Top 25 after last week’s 41-31 defeat against the Tar Heels. Van Dyke has completed 129 of 183 passes — 70.5% — this season for 1,721 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions.
