A dead man must speak because...: Bengaluru techie's letter to President
India TodayA letter written by the Bengaluru-based techie, who died by suicide alleging harassment by his wife, to the President has emerged in which he criticised the justice system and highlighted a rising trend of false cases being filed against men by their estranged wives. "Given that speaking against the courts is impossible today for people who are alive, a dead man must speak," the three-page letter addressed to President Droupadi Murmu said. Emphasising the need for "unbiased justice", the techie from Uttar Pradesh said the Indian judiciary cannot be allowed to stay in its current state. In his suicide note, which had "Justice is due" written on every page, Subhash claimed his wife, Nikita Singhania, had filed nine cases against him over murder, sexual misconduct, harassment, domestic violence, and dowry. In the last two pages of the letter, Subhash suggested ways to address corruption in the judiciary, while seeking action against judges engaging in "political activism".
