Stars Secure Jake Oettinger's Future with Eight-Year Extension

Associated Press

The Dallas Stars have signed goaltender Jake Oettinger to an 8-year, $66 million extension. Oettinger will remain with the Stars through 2032-33, matching the salary cap of the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark. The contract is identical to the deal that Jeremy Swayman signed with the Boston Bruins earlier this month. Oettinger is off to a strong start with a 3-0-0 record and a .948 save percentage, and he is poised to be a key piece for the Stars as they look to build for the future.
