Review meeting on security arrangements for Jallikattu held in Dharmapuri

A review meeting was held at the Collectorate on the preparedness and the security arrangements for the proposed Jallikattu event scheduled to be held on PMP College campus in Thadangam village in Dharmapuri. Presiding over the review meeting, Collector K. Shanthi consulted with the various line departments on the operation of the standard protocols outlined by the government for the conduct of Jallikattu and their compliance. Departments of Animal Husbandry, Revenue, Police, Fire and Rescue Services, Public Works, Public Health and local body administration were instructed to coordinate and ensure compliance. The Jallikattu event shall not have more than 150 participants, and the participants shall register their participation three days prior to the event to get the identity card.
