Google is Improving Gmail Settings to Provide Users More Control Over Their Personal Data
Google is improving settings on Gmail that are aimed to provide users with more control over their data. Google says that with the improved settings, users now have more control over Smart Features and Personalisation on Gmail. The first preference determines whether users want to use Gmail with ‘smart features.’ If the option is enabled, users would have access to automatic email categorisation into Promotions, Social, and Primary inboxes. Google in a blog post says that in case the user chooses to disable the ‘smart feature’ option, the setting would degrade the overall performance of the platform.
