Daily MailThe average house price in the UK has jumped by £32,000 over the last year with the typical house now costing £283,000 as households grapple with the cost-of-living crisis. Within England, the South West was the region with the highest annual house price growth, with average prices increasing by 16.9 per cent in the year to May.
