Maharashtra ATS seeks Sachin Vaze's custody, says he can give information on Mansukh Hiren's death
India TodayMaharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad informed Thane sessions court on Friday that they need Sachin Vaze's custody in the Mansukh Hiren murder case, citing four grounds while replying to the anticipatory bail application filed by the suspended cop. Informing the court of the grounds for seeking Vaze's custody, the ATS said they want to question the suspended police inspector to understand his participation in the alleged conspiracy behind Mansukh Hiren's death. Opposing Vaze's anticipatory bail plea, the ATS also said that it wants to dig deeper to find out as to what had happened to Hiren from March 4 to 5 after he had gone missing. Vaze's family seeks police protection Vaze's advocate Aarti Kalekar informed the court that his sister, Anuradha Hatkar, has filed an intervention application, alleging harassment of family by media and has sought sufficient police protection.
