‘PM Narendra Modi’ trailer is more about Modi the CM

With barely a month away for the first phase of the General elections, the trailer of PM Narendra Modi was released on Wednesday and has already garnered over two million views on Youtube. The two-minute-and-35-second trailer of PM Narendra Modi begins with fleeting images of the run-up to the 2014 elections, a biased television anchor planning a prime time show on “the end of Narendra Modi” and the chaiwala jibe, followed by the introduction of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. There is also reference to Indira Gandhi and the Emergency that shows a ‘turbanated’ Narendra Modi courting arrest. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears in the last moments to “warn Pakistan of revenge.” In the trailer dominated by Oberoi, the National Flag makes several appearances.
