Live MintMizoram Elections Result 2023: The Zoram People's Movement Chief Ministerial candidate Lalduhoma has achieved a resounding triumph in the Serchhip Assembly constituency of Mizoram, as confirmed by the Election Commission of India in the release of results for 27 seats from the November 7 polls in the state. Meanwhile, Mizoram Rural Development Minister and MNF candidate Laruatkima lost to ZPM nominee Lalnghinglova Hmar in the Aizawl West II Assembly constituency, according to the Election Commission. “Hmar of Zoram People's Movement secured 10,398, while Lalruatkima of Mizo National Front got 5,579 and Ngurdingliana of Indian National Congress received 1,528 votes,” the EC said. The primary competition involves the incumbent Mizo National Front, Congress, and Zoram People’s Movement, while the BJP is eager to position itself as a potential "kingmaker.” The home voting method for the 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly elections was expanded to several state districts, enabling PwD and senior citizens to cast votes.
