PVTG Parents Protest for Their Kids’ DOB Certificates
Deccan ChronicleVisakhapatnam: PVTG parents of Kalyan Lava in Ravikamatham mandal of Chimalapadu panchayat in Anakapalle district staged a dharna seeking date of birth certificates for their school-going children on a priority basis. The parents, belonging to the Kondu tribe, require the DoBs to register their children in APAAR, which requires consistent documentation across their Aadhaar cards, school administration registers, and date of birth certificates. The protesters requested Anakapalle district collector Vijaya Krishnan to issue special orders similar to those by ASR district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar to expedite issuance of birth certificates. Those who participated in the dharna include CPM Anakapalle district executive member K. Govinda Rao and PVTG Sangham assistant secretary Gammila Vasu.
