Bengaluru police to challenge bail granted to Darshan in Renukaswamy murder case
India TodayBengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda announced on Tuesday that efforts are underway to challenge the Karnataka High Court’s decision to grant bail to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and other accused in the Renukaswamy murder case. “The proposal to the government will be given soon on appeal to the Supreme Court against the bail given to Darshan and all the accused in the murder case,” said B Dayananda. The Karnataka High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to Darshan, his friend Pavithra Gowda, and other accused, R Nagaraju, Anu Kumar alias Anu, Lakshman M, Jagadeesh alias Jagga, and Pradoosh S Rao. According to the police, Renukaswamy had sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda, which allegedly enraged Darshan and led to his murder.
