SJVN to invest ₹6,000 cr for 1,000 MW floating solar power projects in Assam

Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam on Monday announced that wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with Assam Power Distribution Company to develop 1,000 MW floating solar power projects. It said, "The MoU has been inked for developing 1000 MW Floating Solar Power Projects in Assam by incorporating a Joint Venture Company." "An investment of ₹6,000 crore will be made by SJVN in the state for developing the project," the company's filing said. SJVN is currently implementing or operating power projects in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, and Arunachal Pradesh in India besides neighboring countries of Nepal and Bhutan.
