DK Shivakumar praises police for 'sensible handling' of Udayagiri unrest

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday commended state police's efforts for handling the stone throwing incident at Udayagiri in Mysuru. Asked about Minister KN Rajanna’s statement that the police did not handle the situation correctly, he said, "The chief minister and the home minister will comment on his statement. The police should have taken the accused to another station," he said, questioning the officers' “common sense” in handling the situation. DK SHIVAKUMAR ON BENGALURU METRO FARE HIKE Reiterating Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's views on Bengaluru metro fare hike, DK Shivakumar blamed the BJP for politicising the issue and said that the decision had been taken by a committee set up by the Union government.
