Gehlot right, Kapil Sibal's remarks on Congress will only hurt party, says Tariq Anwar
India TodayAs Congress leader Kapil Sibal continues to face backlash over his scathing criticism against the party leadership and its handling of electoral losses, another fellow party member, Tariq Anwar, has said that he should have given his suggestions to the party high command instead of going to the media. Voices of dissent are once again growing within the Congress ranks after Kapil Sibal made bold remarks in criticism of the party and how the leadership has failed to introspect on the back-to-back electoral losses. Kapil Sibal's open call for reform in the Congress in an interview with The Indian Express comes close on the heels of 23 Congress leaders writing to party president Sonia Gandhi for a leadership change and organisational overhaul. Reacting to Sibal’s remarks, Ashok Gehlot said, "There was no need for Mr Kapil Sibal to mention our internal issues in the media, this has hurt the sentiments of party workers across the country."
