In a rubber forest just north of Ho Chi Minh City, an excavation to find the bodies of North Vietnamese soldiers has made a long-awaited discovery. Excavators digging at the site of a B-52 bomb crater, north of Ho Chi Minh City, in an attempt to learn more about the Vietnam War and identify remains of fallen soldiers. "Having found the first Ho Chi Minh sandal – the first rubber sandal that the northern soldiers were wearing – the energy just changed, it was intense." "Some of that poetry was incredibly beautiful – the stories of writing to someone he loved and hoping he'd see her again when he returned from war," Mr Johnston says.
