Maharashtra to issue social media guidelines for officials: Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Wednesday that the state will regulate the social media conduct of government officials by issuing a Government Resolution within three months. Speaking in the Maharashtra legislative council, Fadnavis emphasised the need for discipline and appropriate behaviour on social media platforms. Fadnavis highlighted that while officials should actively engage with citizens on social media, they must avoid personal glorification. He expressed concern over some officials excessively using social media to enhance their image and even participating in anti-government groups.
