Nagarjuna is gearing up for the release of Brahmastra, his first Hindi film in nearly two decades, which is slated to hit the screens on September 9. IMPRESSIVE DEBUT AND RISE TO STARDOM Nagarjuna followed in his legendary father ANR’s footsteps when he made his big screen debut with Vikram. Apart from commercial entertainers, Nagarjuna was also part of cult films such as the romantic drama Geethanjali, the classical drama Sankeertana, the family drama, and the comedy Hello Brother - giving proof of his range as a performer. BOLLYWOOD DAIRIES In 1989, Nagarjuna delivered one of the biggest hits of his career with the Ram Gopal Varma-helmed Shiva, which became extremely popular among the youth. The movie was a special affair for Akkineni fans as it marked ANR’s last appearance on the big screen and saw him share screen space with Nagarjuna, Chay, Akhil Akkineni and Amala Akkineni, He also helped Akhil partly revive his career with Hello after the young star made an unimpressive debut with Akhil: The Power of Jua.
