People With Anaemia And Malnutrition To Be Identified, Says CM Jagan
Deccan ChronicleVijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked officials on Wednesday to ensure that the people with anaemia and malnutrition are identified in the ongoing YSR Jagananna Arogya Suraksha programme and given nutritious food as also medicines. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to closely monitor the Sampoorn Poshan programme and said haemoglobin tests should be conducted on pregnant women, infants and children every month. The chief minister said, “The health department should take the responsibility of serving medicines to the anaemic patients and victims of malnutrition identified in the Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha camps. The chief minister said haemoglobin tests should be conducted every month on children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
