CM Stalin calls for an all-party meet on March 5 to discuss impact of delimitation on T.N.
The HinduStalin has convened an all-party meeting on March 5, 2025, to discuss the impact of the proposed delimitation exercise on Tamil Nadu, which may lead to a reduction in the number of Lok Sabha seats in the State. Speaking to mediapersons after chairing a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat in Chennai, the Chief Minister said: “Tamil Nadu has been forced to wage a massive struggle for its rights. Over the years, the State had adopted population control measures and focused on improving the maternal health of women.” The Chief Minister further said: “As of now, Tamil Nadu has 39 Lok Sabha seats. Transcending political differences, everyone should come together and raise our voice.” To discuss the issues surrounding delimitation, it has been decided to invite 40 registered political parties in the State for an all-party meeting, he added.
