BCCI contracts: Shreyas Iyer set to return, Ishan Kishan likely to wait longer

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer is likely to regain his BCCI annual retainership contract after missing out in the 2023-24 season. However, Ishan Kishan may have to wait longer before rejoining the list of contracted players in the senior national team set-up, India Today has learnt. Jadeja was part of the T20 World Cup-winning squad in 2024 and played a key role in India's Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai earlier this year. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were excluded from the BCCI annual retainership list last year due to concerns over their domestic cricket participation.
