Nuclear royal commission's findings for South Australia to be revealed on Monday

The final report on South Australia's nuclear fuel cycle royal commission will be handed to the Government today. Earlier this year in the tentative findings of the Royal Commission into the Nuclear Fuel Cycle, Mr Scarce said the state could benefit from developing its role in the nuclear cycle and could take 13 per cent of world's nuclear waste if a dump was built. The commission was established in March last year and was to consider the practical, economic and ethical issues surrounding the state's potential involvement in nuclear mining, enrichment, energy and storage. "This is a really interesting shift in the debate over South Australia's role in the nuclear cycle, because there's a massive difference between a royal commission and South Australia's permission.
