UP Man Who Set Himself On Fire Near New Parliament Building Dies After Suffering 95% Burns

The man who set himself on fire near the new Parliament building on Thursday died after suffering 95 per cent burns. The man in his early 30s was rushed to the hospital by security personnel deployed near Parliament and was undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of the burns department, a professor in the department of medicine at the hospital said. The incident took place at around 3:35 pm near the Railway Bhawan opposite the Parliament building, said Delhi Fire Services. The man took a train to Delhi's Shahdara railway station on Wednesday morning, said the police, adding his half-burnt backpack and some other belongings were seized from the spot.
