CBI asked to furnish details of witnesses to be brought in for Sheena Bora murder trial
India TodayA special CBI court in Mumbai has said that though 69 witnesses in the Sheena Bora murder case have been produced in court by the Central Bureau of Investigation, "yet the prosecution can submit to the court the total number of witnesses and their particulars which they intend to examine in this case, in order to streamline the trial." The court noted that as per the chargesheet there are total of 253 witnesses that are cited by the prosecution in which former media baron Peter Mukerjea, his former wife Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna are facing trial. The court, thus, directed the CBI to submit the list of statements of witnesses, documents, material objects and exhibits seized during the investigation. This order has been passed by the special CBI court on the application filed by Indrani, the prime suspect in the case, through her lawyer Ranjeet Sangle.
