
Improving women’s workforce participation vital: Isaac
The HinduFormer Finance Minister and adviser of Vijnana Keralam project T.M. Thomas Isaac has stressed the need to increase women’s workforce participation for Kerala’s progress and development. While male workforce participation stands at 70%, women’s participation in Kerala is still below 40%. HR representatives from various local companies and employers actively participated in the question and answer session Among the 1,53,000 jobseekers registered in the district, training and support would be given to those participating in the fair to secure jobs. The event was attended by District Industries Centre Deputy Director Linu George, Kerala Small Scale Industries Association Secretary Nobi Joseph, and senior vice-president of the Thrissur Management Association C. Padmakumar.
