'Vaccination-on-wheels' starts in Karnataka to boost inoculation drive in remote areas
India TodayKarnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai flagged off a mobile clinic, called "vaccination-on-wheels", to inoculate people against Covid-19 in remote areas on Thursday. The mobile clinic, launched by Narayana Health City hospital in association with Volvo group, will provide easy vaccine accessibility to people in rural and semi-urban areas in Karnataka. Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, founder and chairman of Narayana Health, said the initiative was launched to ease accessibility of Covid-19 vaccines for those unable to visit the vaccination centres due to physical constraints or distance. Through this initiative, we want to ease the accessibility to the vaccine for all, including those who are unable to come forward to the vaccination centres owing to distance or physical constraints," Dr Devi Prasad Shetty said.
