Man arrested after allegedly threatening two people with weapon, fleeing police through Canberra's north

A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening two people with a weapon before leading police on a chase through Canberra's inner north. Five minutes later, it is alleged the man drove onto a construction site and threatened another man with the weapon before damaging property and stealing two mobile phones from a car. The man was arrested in Lyneham after he allegedly led police on a chase through Canberra's north. About 1:15pm, it is alleged the man's vehicle collided with an unmarked police car near the intersection of Wattle Street and Brigalow Street after a second police pursuit.
