The match was attended by just 23,415 AFL fans despite the AFL allowing the MCG to be up to 85 per cent full of its maximum capacity of 100,024 fans. Victoria's sports minister Martin Pakula said crowds would be allowed at AFL matches this weekend at the MCG and Docklands Stadium, but there would be additional rules for patrons around the wearing of masks.
