Telangana Govt. Committed to Empowering Women in State
Deccan ChronicleAdilabad: Rural development minister Seethakka on Friday reiterated the state government’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring their self-reliance through initiatives like Indira Kranti Patham, bank linkages, and interest-free loans. While distributing bank cheques to Self-Help Groups in Khanapur, Seethakka said the Congress government aimed to help women achieve financial prosperity by providing interest-free loans and loans at 25 per cent interest. Along with MLA Vedma Bojju, Seethakka inaugurated a gram panchayat building constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh in Sathenapalli. Collector Abhilasha Abhinav said that three new ambulances would be introduced and two doctors recruited to ensure medical treatment in interior areas of Nirmal district.
