Lockdown 3: Orissa HC & Subordinate Courts To Continue Restrictive Functioning Till May 17 [Read Office Order]

In view of extension of the lockdown period, the Orissa High Court has intimated that normal working of the High Court as well as the courts subordinate to it will further remain suspended till May 17. During this period, the High Court will function on all five working days of the week with one Division Bench each on Tuesday and Thursday and five Single Benches on each working day w.e.f. Subordinate Courts With regard to the subordinate courts it has been announced that: Subordinate Courts and their offices falling in the "Red Zone" shall function only for one hour as per the directions already issued, to take up Criminal and Civil matters of extremely urgent nature; Subordinate courts and their offices falling in the "Orange Zone" shall function for two hours i.e. from 9.00 AM to 11.00 AM, except the courts and their offices in Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Chatrapur, Koraput and Puri, where there is no morning sitting, which shall function from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM; Subordinate courts and their offices falling in the "Green Zone" shall, starting from usual official hours, function up to the lunch break for two and half hours.
